Amex Platinum New Gas Discount card it is a benefit that you get by having the card and that would be a 10 cent discount per gallon at Exxon Mobil Walmart and murphy's gas stations 

As well as member pricing at sam's club gas stations so as part of the whole coupon book of new benefits they added to the platinum card from last year all the way up until a few months ago 

There is the Walmart plus membership and this is one of the most paradoxical benefits of the platinum card 

it's supposed to be a high-level card you can use this card to get into the high-class centurion lounges book t

The ritz Carlton through the fine hotels and resorts collection and then go and chill with the people of Walmart with your Walmart plus membership 

it doesn't really fit in my opinion but anyway a new benefit of Walmart plus is 10 cents off per gallon at Exxon Mobil murphy's Walmart gas stations and member pricing at sam's club 

As we mentioned now this isn't a completely new benefit but they just recently added Exxon and Mobil which makes it much easier to use 

and they raised it from 5 cents off per gallon to 10 cents off per gallon now you have to pay through the app by scanning a QR code on the gas pump to do this and I actually went and tested it out today

so we're driving to a mobile gas station to test out the Walmart app it's ridiculous actually it's about 10 miles each way 

one thing that you should do though even though this is a benefit of the Amex platinum do not use the MX platinum to pay for your gas through the app 

because it's only one point per dollar on gas purchases okay instead I added my Amex business gold card to my Walmart app wallet and that card gets 

four points per dollar on your two biggest monthly spending categories and one of those will definitely be gas for me all right 

so let's see if this works we're going to scan the barcode the QR code check it out enter your fuel pump number 

It's a number one click pump card ending in 1000 I think that's the one continue with this card my AMEX gold four points per dollar 

on gas and oh select grade we'll go with 87 I don't want to break the bank I'm again fueling a masterpiece and you can see 

my savings here are 10 cents off per gallon with a total savings of 59 cents I guess I got 5.9 gallons worth of gas then I opened up my Amex business gold account 

and you can see here that it is ExxonMobil that the charge is coming from not Walmart plus and if we click in it is coding as fuel 

so we should be getting four points per dollar on that so in addition to the 10 savings I will be getting 17 points per gallon 

as well and if we value the points at 2 cents per point that's about 32 cents in value per gallon 

so that plus the 10 cents off that is a value back of 44 cents per gallon which at the current price is a little over four dollars is about 10 back 

so guys if you are an Amex platinum member you will have access to this deal too you first have to sign up for Walmart plus.
